1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible Kevin Jones
After a long and extensive search for “the right car” this particular Chevelle was found and purchased from Wisconsin and shipped to California in 2016. The engine and interior weren’t in the best shape but otherwise it was a decent looking vehicle. Shortly after purchase, a big block 454 was stumbled across to rebuild. With much help from a few friends the tired and worn out small block engine was replaced along with new headers, exhaust and other key engine components. Also completed were front disc brakes, tubular control arms and various interior and suspension upgrades/replacements. The Chevelle is currently looking and running good so we’re somewhat content. Although, it is a classic, so of course there’s always room for improvement; something that could be done or replaced until it’s considered fully restored.
